several dreams since getting to fort davis, though sadly they're all a little hazy since it's taken me so long to write them down.

last night: i was part of some group of officially superstitious young women, and i noticed most of them had gone to my high school. the only part i really remember now was towards the end, when i got into bed with avram in the dream. he explained that he'd put a bale of hay in the bed and some other object to keep away evil beings. i tried curling up next to him to take advantage of his hay and other thing, but when i crawled under the covers, some evil being started pulling me down towards the bottom of the bed. i woke up screaming.

a few nights ago: my friend was terminally ill. her mother decided she had to be put to sleep. i was with her for a few hours before she had her final day with her mom and brother. i felt horrible that i wasn't able to be with her when she was put down. somehow i ended up with a receipt showing that she'd been put down, and the receipt made me feel incredibly guilty.

the first night we arrived here: i dreamt i gave birth to an adult cat. my mom kept nagging me about feeding my baby, and i kept explaining that i didn't need to since i'd given birth to a cat. but she'd demand that i nurse the cat, which was an incredibly strange thing to do in the dream. i don't think my mom ever became convinced that it wasn't a human baby.
