just returned from dallas. a dream on tuesday night reminded me of my oleander dream: i dreamt that avram called me in the hotel we were staying in to tell me that poinsettia plants kept appearing in the house. then i saw them appearing in the hotel room and woke up.

wednesday night i had a dream that i had been asked to write about an army recruiting event. i signed some document while i was there, which turned out to be an agreement to enlist. i was really freaked out and tried figuring out ways to un-enlist. but it proved impossible. while i was trying to bail out, some country attacked the u.s., and my town became a battleground. whoever was attacking had enlisted the help of these monstrous insect-like machines. i felt really despondent and a little cowardly as i tried to escape the attackers as well as the u.s. military, since i thought they would punish me for not showing up to fight.
