several dreams lately...

one in which i discovered i was a talented opera singer. i had a part in some musical and after rehearsals, i'd sneak back into the big, beautiful theater and sing. someone heard me singing and then came in to train me. somehow i ended up a famous opera singer. but then the dream took a strange turn where people started dying from a fast-spreading virus. i was trying to help people, and after giving a friend a shot, the needle i'd used on him broke off in my finger. i realized i'd been infected and would soon die too.

another where i was in college and was planning to study abroad in japan for a year. i had already paid for a ticket to go to japan for a month to stay with an american woman and learn japanese. then i met avram and fell madly in love with him. i began to feel pretty conflicted about moving to japan, especially when my mom told me "avram will want to marry you someday soon!" the giddiness kicked in and i started thinking i wouldn't bother studying abroad. then a hurricane started brewing nearby, and i had a new excuse not to go to japan at all.
